Areaworks believes in the power of communities. Sharing ideas – and challenges – creates powerful connections. And although we have to approach this slightly differently in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, we still believe that together we can achieve more.
The past several months have been difficult for us all and our priority has always been the safety of our members and our employees. Our number one aim is to ensure our buildings are as safe as possible for everyone and assist all our members in their transition back to the office. We have conducted a risk assessment of our buildings and will share this with all of our members accordingly. In line with government guidelines, we have introduced new policies and procedures throughout our spaces to ensure member and staff safety comes first.
All of our Areaworks spaces have gone through a deep, sanitary clean. This deep clean will be supported through rigorous, ongoing cleaning processes which have been put in place. All common high-traffic and high-risk areas will be cleaned on an hourly basis.
Hand sanitiser will be available throughout our spaces for member use. In addition, all our kitchen and communal spaces will have hand sanitiser, anti-bacterial wipes and cleaning products available which should be used by all members when using coffee machines and shared amenities (such as the printer or kettle).
Along with other common areas, our bathrooms will be cleaned more frequently. We will also have anti-bacterial wipes available for members to use, to clean surfaces before and after use.
We ask all our members and guests to adhere to the 2-metre physical distancing rules throughout our spaces. Signs have been placed throughout as a friendly reminder. The number of available seats in our break-out and communal spaces have been reduced and we have restructured our desks to ensure that all desk seats are now 2 metres apart and our hot-desk clients will be provided with a permanent desk space to avoid desk sharing.
We have updated the layout of our meeting rooms to accommodate physical distancing. We have also introduced new procedures regarding booking, ensuring that each room is cleaned after use. Meeting rooms will be stocked with anti-bacterial wipes and hand sanitiser as well.
We have created and implemented extensive signage throughout our buildings. These provide clear instructions to members, guests and our employees on best practice in terms of physical distancing and hygiene, the availability of hand sanitisers and traffic management.
We have implemented one-way traffic flow with dedicated entrances and exits into our buildings, where possible, which have been clearly marked.
We are continuously keeping up to date with government guidance and implementing these guidelines throughout our spaces. Rules and regulations will continue to evolve, so we will keep you updated as things progress.
As an amazing community, together we can keep each other safe. We looking forward to welcoming new and existing members into our safe and Covid-19 ready spaces. If you have any questions or would like to come and tour one of our spaces, please get in touch with us.
