Meet Claire

As our company continues to grow, so does our amazing Areaworks team! We are delighted to welcome Claire to our Community Team. Here is the lady herself to tell you a little more about her.

My name is Claire, and I have just started working as a Community Representative at Areaworks. After having graduated from a Masters in Events and Communication in a business school in South of France, where I’m originally from, I decided to give up on the vitamin D and head off to the Big Smoke.

Who needs sun, cicadas and a beach when you can live in such a vibrant city? I have been living in Manor House warehouse district for over a year now. I feel really fortunate to be part of such a community, surrounded daily by creative and interesting people. Indeed, for someone who is all about meeting new people and developing meaningful and caring relationships, being part of such a community is a blessing. It has allowed me to develop and work on a few projects. For example, I have organised some music events to raise money for a charity that helps raise awareness of the refugee crisis in Greece. Enjoying being part of a community is one of the reasons why I immediately felt really close to Areaworks’ ethos. One of our core values is fostering relationships the positive impact of solid and meaningful relationships, whether it’s at work or in your personal life.

Aside from feeling really close to the company’s values, I am also really excited about working in a startup environment as the work culture is so great. Everything you do matters and is valued. It’s also a fantastic way to finally put my skills at use to help the company grow. One of my core skills is organising events, and I genuinely can’t wait to do this in our amazing space. Stay tuned for beer tasting, yoga classes and other social events. I’m really excited to see what the future has got in store for me at Areaworks!
